Mission Statement
To raise awareness and educate youth in decision making about backcountry travel and avalanche safety by providing age appropriate courses in Australia.
Snow Safety Australia delivers a slightly modified version of the Avalanche Canada AST 1 drawing on our experience and feedback from the youth in order to maximise interaction and engagement. We have integrated the one-day Avalanche Awareness Courses into Snow Safety Australia’s curriculum to raise awareness and prepare these youths for the AST 1 course.
The youth courses are provide free by Snow Safety Australia to Student in the Jindabyne Area.

* All instructors are certified Trainer Assessors (TAE40110), certified Avalanche Canada instructors, have current working with Children clearance, Police check and Wilderness First Aid (SISSS00108)
