Did some digging on an east aspect @ 1900m. Snow pack depth 80cm. Had easy results hand shear quick test. The snow pack has settled and the buried surface hoar is still present but is bonding well with the high temps during the week See results below Buried surface hoar present @ 15cm, 30cm and 37cm. Crystal size 4-6mm. No results from the column test but did get a result from the deep tap test, DT 27 SC @ 37cm Snow density was fist and 4 finger below for the top 40cm. Dry snow. Will continue to monitor the buried surface hoar but it seems to be bonding well and the snow pack is quite stable Did some digging on an east aspect @ 1900m.
